Susceptibility of Callosobruchus sp. collected from various NSP Centres to insecticides.
Susceptibility of pulse beetles Callosobruchus maculatus and Callosobruchus analis collected from different National Seed Programme Centres (Karnal, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Hisar, Rajkot for C. maculatus; and Akola for C. analis) was studied against the commonly used insecticides malathion, dichlorvos and deltamethrin. The results showed that the insects from different populations were susceptible to deltamethrin. Toxicity of malathion to some populations of C. maculatus was decreased. All populations showed the highest susceptibility to deltamethrin and least susceptibility to dichlorvos.
