Biodiversity of insect pests of tea and their natural enemies in Uttarakhand.

Abstract

Twenty species of insects and two of mite pests attacking tea plants are thought to be reported for the first time from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, India, and their seasonal incidence and relative abundance along with the associated natural enemies are reported. Out of the 22 tea pests recorded, Caloptilia theivora, Thrips hawaiiensis and Xenocatantops humilis were observed as predominant.
