Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

Taxonomical notes on species of Cronartium (Uredinales) occurring in Russia.

Abstract

This article summarizes the results of a taxonomic revision of Cronartium spp. in Russia. Three macrocyclic fungi species with alternate hosts (Eurasian C. flaccidum, Eurasian-North American C. ribicola and East-Asian C. orientale) and one endocyclic species (Northeast-Asian C. kurilense) are reported from Russia. Peridermium pini [Cronartium flaccidum] is considered to be widespread in Russia, although distribution records for this species in the region are lacking.
