Differences in phytosociological stabilities and cover coefficients of chosen species of segetal communities and long term fallows on the area of south-western part of Szczecin lowland and Ińskie Lake District.

Abstract

This paper shows a list of species that occurred only in agrophytocoenosis or in long term fallow communities, and also more often and more numerously (the difference in phytosociological stability is equal or higher than 40%) in segetal communities than in area of fallows and contrary. Phytosociological stability and cover coefficients of species were shown separately for soils created from sands and clays. On the sandy soils, only in agrophytocoenosis, Raphanus raphanistrum and Aphanes arvensis occurred, and on the clay soils Euphorbia helioscopia, Veronica polita and Lamium purpureum were observed. In the sand of multiannual long term fallows only Corynephorus canescens, Scleranthus perennis, Oenothera biennis, Hieracium pilosella, Jasione montana, Berteroa incana and Helichrysum arenarium occurred. On both soil types, Senecio jacobaea, Gnaphalium sylvaticum, Festuca rubra, Hypericum perforatum, Tanacetum vulgare and Rumex acetosa were present. On the clay soils, Picris hieracioides, Arrhenatherum elatius and Carduus acanthoides were observed. Compared with the fallow communities on the sandy soils, more often and more number of Arnoseris minima, Teesdalia nudicaulis, Myosotis stricta and Spergula arvensis were noted in agrophytocoenosis, and on the clay soils, Papaver rhoeas, Consolida regalis, Anagallis arvensis, Galium aparine, Veronica persica, Stellaria media and Chenopodium album were observed. On both soil types, using methodical assumption (difference in phytosociological stability 40%), Apera spica-venti, Fallopia convolvulus [Polygonum convolvulus], Viola arvensis and Centaurea cyanus occurred. In phytocoenosis of multiannual long term fallows compared with agrophytocoenosis on the sandy soils more numbers of Hypochoeris radicata [Hypochaeris radicata], Trifolium arvense, Holcus mollis and Anthoxanthum aristatum were observed and on the clay soils Epilobium montanum, Carduus crispus, Daucus carota, Lactuca serriola and Vicia tetrasperma occurred. On both soils often and more number of Holcus lanatus, Conyza canadensis, Achillea millefolium, Agrostis capillaris, Artemisia vulgaris, Vicia hirsuta and Melandrium album [Silene latifolia subsp. alba] on the fallows occurred.
