Abstract

Surveys were conducted in arboreal plants from different regions of Cuba where 9 mealybug species, belonging to Dysmicoccus, Ferrisia, Nipaecoccus, Paracoccus, Planococcus and Pseudococcus, were identified. Dysmicoccus bispinosus [Dysmicoccus texensis] was of the highest frequency and Guazuma tomentosa was the tree species where the highest number of mealybugs was recorded.
