Preliminary investigation on parasitic nematode species of flowers and plants in Rosaceae.


Eleven parasitic nematode species were identified from flowers and plants of Rosaceae, i.e. Prunus mume, Rosa cultivars, Pyracantha fortuneana, Rosa rugosa, Kerria japonica, Chaenomeles speciosa, Malus halliana and Jacobinia carnea. Parasitic nematodes of flowers and plants are seldom reported in Yunnan, China. Eleven species, Tylenchorhynchus crassicaudatus, T. ewingi, T. paranudus, Pratylenchus vulnus, P. coffeae, P. penetrans, Helicotylenchus dihystera, H. pseudorobustus, C. raskiensis [Criconemella raskiensis], Discocriconemella limitanea and Aphelenchus avenae, are new host records.
