Abstract

Occurrence of Brevipalpus phoenicis (Geijskes) (Acari, Tenuipalpidae), Tetranychus urticae (Koch) (Acari, Tetranychidae) and Polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks) (Acari, Tarsonemidae) on leaves I. cairica (Linnaeus) Sweet (Solanales, Convolvulaceae).

Abstract

The first occurrence of three phytophagus mites on Ipomoea cairica, is reported. The species Brevipalpus phoenicis, Tetranychus urticae and Polyphagotarsonemus latus were caught on leaves of I. cairica, around Universidade Federal do Paraná, Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, in 20 January 2005.
