Abstract
First report of Alfalfa mosaic virus on Rhamnus alaternus in France.
Abstract
Chlorotic oak leaf or ringspot symptoms on R. alaternus leaves were observed in Bellegarde (1998), Fanjaux (2000) and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (2002). Samples from these localities revealed the presence of Alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV). The low infection level and rare observation of symptoms in natural conditions suggested that R. alaternus was not frequently infected by AMV.
