Occurrence of Leptocybe invasa Fisher & La Salle, 2004 (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) on Eucalyptus camaldulensis in Turkey, with a description of the male sex.

Abstract

This paper provides a morphological description of the male Leptocybe invasa on Eucalyptus camaldulensis in Turkey. The male insect has a similar description with the female, except that its head and mesosoma are brown with distinct blue to green metallic shine, its metasoma is brown with a slightly metallic tinge, its legs are pale yellow, except mid and hind coxae which have metallic shine, and its antennae are yellow. Notes on the geographical distribution and biology of this gall-inducing pest are also provided.
