The pest species in the Oriental fruit fly complex, occurring in the Philippines (Bactrocera occipitalis and Bactrocera philippinensis) are separated in this paper. Different identification techniques, colour pattern on wing and abdominal tergites, aculeus length to wing discal cell length ratio, aedeagus length to discal cell length ratio and scanning electron microscopy of tomentum pattern on prescutum are used.
