Abstract
Leaf secretory structures in Hibiscus tiliaceus L. and Hibiscus pernambucensis Arruda.
Abstract
The anatomy and ontogeny of secretory structures in H. tiliaceus and H. pernambucensis were studied. Samples of both species were collected from Saí beach, Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Four secretory structures were observed in both species: secretory canals, colleters, mucilage idioblasts, and extraforal nectaries. The anatomical characteristics of the secretory structures in both species were very similar.
