Weed occurrence at several arboreta of Korea and their vegetation analysis.
Abstract
Weed flora in four arboreta in Korea was studied. The TWINSPAN (two-way indicator species analysis) method allowed the weed community to be divided into 4 types - Digitaria sanguinalis-Cyperus amuricus, Digitaria sanguinalis-Artemisia princeps, Digitaria sanguinalis-Setaria viridis, and Digitaria sanguinalis-Arthraxon hispidus communities. The results of the correlation between environmental characteristics and weed community by detrended canonical correspondence analysis ordination method showed that Digitaria sanguinalis-Cyperus amuricus community had high organic matter and available phosphorus concentrations, while the Digitaria sanguinalis-Arthraxon hispidus community had high magnesium and available phosphorus concentrations. The Digitaria sanguinalis-Artemisia princeps community had high magnesium concentration, whereas the Digitaria sanguinalis-Setaria viridis community had low magnesium concentration.
