Abstract
The occurrence of Septoria glume blotch on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) in Golestan province.
Abstract
Wheat samples with symptoms of head blotch and darkened stem under the head were collected from Golestan province, Iran in May 2002. Pycnidia and ascocarps were isolated from infected tissues. Based on morphological characteristics, the fungal agent in the asexual stage was identified as Stagonospora nodorum (Septoria nodorum [Leptosphaeria nodorum]), and in the sexual stage as Phaeosphaeria nodorum.
