Abstract

This paper describes the growth, distribution and ecology, and associated pests and diseases of 12 species suitable for forest plantations in Malaysia. These include Dyera costulata, Endospermum malaccense [E. diadenum], Azadirachta excelsa, Khaya ivorensis, Hopea odorata, Hevea brasiliensis, Tectona grandis, Dryobalanops aromatica, Shorea leprosula, Shorea parvifolia, Shorea macrophylla and Swietenia macrophylla.
