Abstract

Activity of azadirachtin against Diprionidae larvae.

Abstract

The activity of azadirachtin (10 g/litre EC) was studied against third instar Neodiprion sertifer larvae, using aqueous emulsion at four different azadirachtin concentrations (0.01, 0.001, 0.0001, and 0.00001%). Larvae were fed with treated pine twigs for three days, and then reared on untreated foliage until pupation. Feeding activity and body weight of larvae were significantly reduced, up to 100% mortality, even at the lowest concentration of azadirachtin (0.00001%).
