Fungicidal control of cotyledonary leaf blight of linseed.
The efficacy of mancozeb+thiophanate-methyl, Indofil Z-78, copper sulfate, carboxin, fentin hydroxide and oxycarboxin (0.2%) and carbendazim (0.1%) against leaf blight (Alternaria linicola) on linseed (Linum usitatissimum) cv. Neelam was investigated in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India during the rabi season of 1996 and 1997. All fungicides significantly reduced the disease intensity compared with the control. Mancozeb+thiophanate-methyl was the most effective, as it recorded the highest degree of disease control in 1996 (78.25) and 1997 (80.1%).
