Abstract

Seven known species belonging to the order Tylenchida (Basiria graminophila, Tylenchorhynchus annulatus, Hirschmanniella areolata, Helicotylenchus dihystera, Helicotylenchus pseudorobustus, Mesocriconema onostris, and Hemicriconemoides strictathecatus) have been identified and described from soil samples collected in three districts of central Nepal. Except for Helicotylenchus dihystera (Cobb, 1893) Sher, 1961 all the species are recorded for the first time from this country. Hirschmanniella areolata Ebsary & Anderson, 1982 was recorded for the first time after its original description.
