Abstract

Eclat® - mode of action and experiences in tank mixtures for weed control in maize.

Abstract

Eclat (a water dispersible granule of prosulfuron + bromoxynil-phenol) is always used in combination with the adjuvant Extravon. Field studies were carried out during 1992-99 in Germany and Austria to investigate the use of Eclat in tank mixtures. Tank mixtures included rimsulfuron + FHS [foam humic substance], nicosulfuron, rimsulfuron + thifensulfuron + FHS, S-metolachlor + terbuthylazine, flufenacet + metsulfuron, and sulcotrione. The use of Eclat increased weed control of Polygonum spp., Matricaria chamomilla [Chamomilla recutita], Galinsoga parviflora, Chenopodium album and Amaranthus spp.
