Abstract
Factors for resistance in selected cauliflower lines against Diamond back moth.
Abstract
High contents of protein, orthodihydroxy phenols and low quantities of sugar (reducing and non-reducing) were involved in resistance of 3 cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis) lines against the diamond back moth (Plutella xylostella) (DBM). The epicuticular layer did not seem to influence the feeding and damage potential of the DBM larvae.
