Abstract

Increasing risk of damage by the pine processionary Thaumetopoea pityocampa Denis & Schiff. in the Central Region following climatic change.

Abstract

At the northern limit of its range, T. pityocampa previously caused only slight damage in the Sologne and Orléanais areas of France. This study confirms an increasing risk of insect damage due to massive afforestations with Corsican pine and climatic warming.
