Abstract

Asymmetrasca decedens: a new pest of almond in Spain.

Abstract

Asymmetrasca decedens was the most important of 3 cicadellids infesting almond trees in eastern Spain in late summer 1996, causing stunting of the shoots with small curled leaves. Only non-bearing trees were affected. Although the species has previously been recorded on peach in Spain, this is the first record on almond.
