Abstract

This book of 19 chapters deals with the cultivation of these 3 important plantation cash crops. Three introductory chapters deal with their use as stimulant beverages, the origin and distribution of the species and production and markets. These are followed by 5 chapters on botany and plant improvement, pedoclimatic requirements and management, field management, mineral nutrition and fertilizers and pests, diseases and weed control for each of the 3 crops. A final chapter deals with crop processing. The book is a broad-based text for students of agriculture, horticulture and food science as well as providing on overview for professionals.
