Abstract
Resins of four species of Convolvulaceae and their allelopathic potential.
Abstract
The allelopathic and antibacterial activity of resins from the roots of Merremia dissecta, M. tuberosa, Turbina corymbosa and Operculina pinnatifida, were determined. All species showed allelopathic activity on the radicle growth of amaranth (Amaranthus sp.), wheat and oats, but had no antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis.
