Abstract

On the arthropod fauna of Parietaria spp. (Urticaceae). 3rd contribution. Parasitoids of Cosmopterix pulchrimella Chambers (Lepidoptera Cosmopterigidae).

Abstract

Field surveys were carried out in Citrus groves in Italy in 1996-97. Some parasitoids of Cosmopterix pulchrimella are listed, including Cirrospilus diallus, C. pictus, Colastes flavitarsis, Ratzeburgiola sp. near R. incompleta and Diadegma exareolator. C. diallus was also obtained from Euleia heraclei living on Smyrnium olusatrum. Another eulophid wasp (which emerged from C. pulchrimella) was identified as belonging to the genus Cleolophus and seemed to be different to the only species known in Italy for this genus. C. pulchrimella is confirmed as an alternative host (and reservoir) of natural enemies of pests of Citrus in Italy.
