Abstract

Twelve varieties of sesame were tested for resistance to Antigastra catalaunalis at Chiplima, Orissa, India, in the kharif seasons of 1995 and 1996. In 1995, OMT 30 showed the least damage (8.3%), followed by B 67 (11.7%) and OMT 32 (15.0%), while in 1996, OMT 30 also showed the lowest damage (11.7%), followed by OMT 32 (16.7%) and Usha, B 67 and Bolangir local (each with 18.3%).
