Abstract

New locations of the larch bark beetle (Ips cembrae) in Slovenia.

Abstract

Pheromone trapping, trap logs and studies of standing trees, slash, etc. were used to determine the distribution of Ips cembrae in larch (Larix decidua) stands in northern Slovenia. New locations for the beetle in the alpine and subalpine zoogeographical regions led to the conclusion that it is present in the entire natural range of European larch.
