Abstract

A comparative study of two superovulation treatments (FSH-P and SUPER-OV) in Aberdeen-Angus cows.

Abstract

At an average body weight of 453 kg, 34 Aberdeen-Angus cows in Argentina were superovulated with 32 mg FSH-P over 4 days or with 75 IU SUPER-OV over 72 h. There were no significant differences between treatments in the number of corpora lutea (8.1 and 7.1 respectively), the number of ova recovered (6.5 and 6.5) or the number of embryos suitable for transfer (5.3 and 4.4).
