Abstract
Selective herbicidal activity of 3,5-dichloropyridyloxyphenoxypropionamidoxyacetic acid derivatives between wheat and wild oat.
Abstract
Aryloxyphenoxypropionate herbicides were synthesised with various substitution groups at the aryl and phenoxypropionic acid moieties and their herbicidal selectivity between wheat and wild oats (Avena fatua) was determined. Derivatives of 2-[4-(3, 5-dichloro-2-pyridyloxy)phenoxy]propionamidoxyacetic acid showed selectivity between wheat and wild oats. In these compounds, N-ethyl-2-[4-(3,5-dichloro-2-pyridyloxy)phenoxy]propionamidoxyacetamide showed higher herbicidal activity against wild oats than diclofop-methyl and a comparable selectivity between wheat and wild oats.
