Effect of soil amendment with azolla (Azolla pinnata) on control of root-knot of brinjal.

The effect of soil amendment with azolla on the control of Meloidogyne javanica on aubergine was studied in a pot experiment. Green azolla enhanced plant growth and suppressed root galling. A better response in reducing galls and improving plant growth were observed with dry azolla compared to the azolla extract.
