Less known Ascomycetes of Mexico. VIII. Some species from the mesophilic forest in Veracruz.

Abstract

A total of 8 species of Ascomycetes collected in a mesophilic forest in Veracruz, Mexico, is described. Helvella brevis, Mollisia undulato-depressula, Propolomyces versicolor, Ustulina pavimentosa and Lasiosphaeria hispida are new records for Mexico. Otidea grandis and Hypoxylon subrutilum are new records for Veracruz. A rare species Xylaria berteri is described.
