Occurrence and identification of viruses affecting lettuce in Poland. I. Survey of viruses affecting lettuce field plantations.

Abstract

Fifteen of the 27 lettuce fields surveyed during 1982-85 in the central region of Poland, were virus-infected. However, the percentage of infected plants was low (0-4.2%). Lettuce mosaic potyvirus and dandelion yellow mosaic sequivirus were the most frequently found, lettuce big-vein varicosavirus, tomato mosaic tobamovirus and cucumber mosaic cucumovirus were also identified.
