Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

The status of the bat-winged fly, Exsul singularis Hutton (Diptera: Muscidae: Coenosiinae).

Abstract

Observations of E. singularis made during January 1996 together with a collation of data from the 65 specimens held in major New Zealand collections are presented. The species has been found from the Paparoa Range south to northern Fiordland. Based on these records the conservation status of this species is reviewed and it is removed from its current category as 'of indeterminate threatened status'.
