Comparative performance of three species of Azolla as a biofertilizer with different levels of chemical nitrogen fertilizer in the paddy fields.


The effect of different species of Azolla pinnata, A. mexicana and A. microphylla on the grain and straw yield of rice with different doses of chemical nitrogen fertilizer application was studied at Kerala Agricultural University, Alappuzha during 1992. A. pinnata and A. microphylla substituted 30 kg N/ha.
