Evaluation of Vydate for control of ectoparasitic nematodes on tomato, 1994.
Oxamyl at 2, 4 or 6 lb/acre was applied to tomatoes in field trials in Tennessee for control of Xiphinema americanum, Helicotylenchus pseudorobustus and Tylenchorhynchus acutus. Yields and distribution of yield among fruit quality grades did not differ among treatments. All plots yielded the equivalent of more than 40 tons/acre. X. americanum and H. pseudorobustus populations were reduced in treated plots but T. acutus numbers were unaffected.
