The useful plants of West Tropical Africa. Vol 3: Families J-L.
This, the third of 5 anticipated volumes, covers families J to L (including the Leguminosae [Fabaceae], which occupy pp. 50-483) and has accounts of >900 species. The species are arranged alphabetically within the families, and for each there is information on European and trade names (if any), West African names (if known), a description, distribution range, habitat, and economic attributes in West Africa and, where applicable, elsewhere in Africa and beyond. The book has an extensive list of references, a list of authorities cited for vernacular names and indexes of plant species (by their Latin names, West African names and usage) and plant/product names in various languages (including trade names).
