Fungi infecting soyabean (Glycine max L.) seeds and effect of some fungicides on seed treatment.
Phoma exigua var. exigua and Alternaria alternata were predominant among the 290 fungal isolates obtained from 18 soyabean seed samples harvested during 1989-91 in Poland. Other fungi were Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia scletoriorum and Fusarium spp. Of the fungicides (triadimenol + imazalil (as Baytan), isofenphos + thiram (as Oftanol T), iprodione (as Rovral WP 50), thiram + carbendazim (as Funaben T) and thiram + carboxin (as Oxafun T)), thiram + carbendazim and thiram + carboxin gave the best disease control.
