Abstract

The occurrence of white peach scale, Pseudaulacaspis pentagona (Targioni), in tea fields and its chemical control. III. Effect of various pesticides in the control of the scale.

Abstract

The effectiveness of some insecticides against the diaspidid Pseudaulacaspis pentagona on tea crops was investigated in the laboratory and field. Buprofezin 25W was more effective than methidathion 40E, chlorpyrifos 40E and isoxathion-DDVP [dichlorvos] 60E. It was also shown that the period in which buprofezin 25W could be used effectively was longer than that of the other insecticides investigated.
