Abstract

On the bionomics and control techniques of Erthesina fullo (Thunberg) on jujube trees.

Abstract

The life cycle of the pentatomid Erthesina fullo, which caused 10-25% fruit damage on jujube trees [? Ziziphus sativa] in southern Anhui, China, is described. In a rainy June, infection by Beauveria bassiana was 20-30%. Fumigation with a mixture of 40% omethoate + diesel at 1:14 at 4500 ml/ha gave 98.6% control in 48 h. Light trapping in early May and June, catching adults and collecting egg masses morning and evening, and spraying 50% methamidophos (dilution 1:1500) and 40% omethoate (at 1:2000) are recommended.
