Performance and palatability of various Australian trees and shrubs.
A brief report of trials in SE Queensland on granite and basalt sites with 9 species - Acacia aneura (2 provenances), Acacia holosericea, Acacia pendula, Acacia salicina, Acacia saligna, Albizia lebbeck, Casuarina cristata, Casuarina cunninghamiana and Leucaena leucocephala cv. Peru. Data on survival, and height growth and palatability to browsing steers are given. A. saligna survived and grew best at both sites. L. leucocephala was the most palatable species, followed by A. lebbeck.
