Invasive Species Compendium

Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

Plants of Western New South Wales.

Abstract

This book describes the plants of western New South Wales and illustrates them with colour plates and some line drawings. Plant descriptions include habitat, distribution, forage and field characteristics and, where appropriate, the status of endangered species. The species are grouped in the following sections: Pteridophytes (ferns), Gymnosperms (Cupressaceae), Angiosperms (monocots) and Angiosperms (dicots). Within each section the genera and the species within each genus are arranged alphabetically. An introduction to the climate, geology, geomorphology, soils and vegetation (including plant communities) of the area, a glossary, and an index are included.
