Abstract

Effect of endosulfan on the mealybug parasitoid, Leptomastix dactylopii How.

Abstract

In laboratory experiments, topical treatment of pupae of Planococcus citri infested with Leptomastix dactylopii with 0.03, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06 and 0.07% a.i. endosulfan did not significantly affect emergence of adults of the parasitoid. However, there were detrimental residual effects and it is concluded that endosulfan should not be used in the same plantations as L. dactylopii is being used.
