Abstract

Powdery mildew caused by Erysiphe cichoracearum on five new Eucalyptus hosts in Arizona.

Abstract

Conidia and mycelia of a powdery mildew fungus were observed on 1-year-old plants of E. cladocalyx, E. viminalis, E. camaldulensis, E. leucoxylon, and E. polyanthemos growing in a greenhouse in Arizona, USA in Feb. 1992. The fungus was identified as E. cichoracearum. This is the first report of E. cichoracearum on these species in the USA.
