Morphology, systematics and phylogeny of the tribe Gnorimoschemini (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae).
The present knowledge of the external adult, larval and pupal morphology of the gelechiid tribe Gnorimoschemini is summarized. The paper represents 20 years' work, and the main part is based on morphological sketches which are mostly original. Its main purpose is to offer a general introduction to the morphology of adults and larvae of this almost worldwide group, many species of which are of economic importance. Most of the illustrations are based on economically important taxa such as the potato pest Phthorimaea operculella.
