Abstract

The taxonomy and distribution of 86 weed species belonging to 49 genera found amongst different crops in Pakistan are reported. The most important species are Lolium temulentum, Avena fatua, Echinochloa crus-galli, E. colonum, Eleusine indica, Dactylis glomerata, Dactyloctenium aegyptium, Sorghum halepense, Digitaria sanguinalis, Desmostachya bipinnata, Hordeum murinum, Cynodon dactylon, Aegilops tauchii, Arstida adscensionis, Bromus japonicus, Poa annua, Eragrostis minor, Dichanthium annulatum, Bothriochloa pertusa, Coix lacryma-jobi and Leptochloa panicea.
