Abstract

Rotylenchulus reniformis, a new nematode species causing damage to tea in Sri Lanka.

Abstract

In a survey of 342 tea estates in Sri Lanka, 78 were found to be infested with R. reniformis. Most of the affected plantations were in the elevation range of 200-1150 m. In several areas this species was encountered with either Pratylenchus loosi or with Radopholus similis. A brief description of the nematode's pathogenicity is given.
