Abstract

A survey of Longidoridae nematodes was carried out in Sicily. Five species of Longidorus, L. aetnaeus L. fasciatus, L. euonymus L. juvenilis and L. moesicus and 8 species of Xiphinema: L. euonymus X. brevicolle, X. diversicaudatum, X. index, X. italiae, X. macroacanthum, X. melitense, X. pachtaicum and X. vuittenezi were found. Biometrical characters and brief descriptions of the species encountered are provided.
