The most important fungal leaf diseases of maple, particularly of Acer pseudoplatanus, including tar spot (Rhytisma acerinum), leaf blotch (Pleuroceras pseudoplatani), white spot (Cristulariella depraedans) and mildew (Uncinula bicornis, U. tulasnei) are described. In addition, interactions of gall midges (Dasineura vitrina) and fungi on maple leaves are discussed.
