Aphidiid parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Aphidiidae) of graminaceous aphids in Garhwal, Western Himalaya.

Abstract

Six braconids are recorded as parasitoids of gramineous aphids from the western Himalayas, India. Aphidius uzbekistanicus is recorded from Macrosiphum miscanthi [Sitobion miscanthi] on wheat, Ephedrus lacertosus from Takecallis himalayensis on bamboo, and Lysiphlebus delhiensis from Melanaphis sp. on an unidentified grass. Three new species are described: Trioxys joshimathensis sp. nov. from S. miscanthi on Bothriochloa sp., T. mackaueri sp. nov. from Melanaphis meghalayensis meghalayensis on bamboo, and T. takecallis sp. nov. from Takecallis himalayensis also on bamboo.
