Loss in yield of tomato due to bacterial wilt caused by Pseudomonas solanacearum.
Loss in number and wt of fruits varied from 31.47-81.70 and 36.88-91.06%, respectively, when yield of cultivar Pusa Ruby was estimated by the paired plot technique. Plant mortality and loss in yield ranged from 10-100 and 10.83-90.62%, respectively, at different stages of infection (0-90 d). Plant mortality and loss in yield were more pronounced in plants inoculated before 60 d. Max. losses were recorded during the summer season by both methods.
