Abstract

The biology of and damage caused by Coptotermes elisae, Nasutitermes novarumhebridarum and Microcerotermes biroi, which are forest pests in Papua New Guinea, are described. Methods of control include removal of old stumps and logs, removal of nests and application of 0.2% chlordane to opened nests.
